As a mid career artist I have surpassed the challenges during the early emerging stages of my professional career. Over the past several years, I have managed to continue with production of my high end art. However, this has sometimes been secondary to the demands for production items that help pay the bills at the end of each month.
I am now creating unique sculptural pieces of cast glass of soft lines and with the pure purpose of capturing and reflecting light. The scale of the piece is to be large and thick. The shape of the piece will be simple in form with a minimal tension point. When placed in the luminescence of daylight to night, the reflective light casted from the piece will always be changing.
My efforts are now focused on creating art with an incalculable cultural value. Future projects include involving architectural sculpture in places such as outdoor art installations, public commissions, and businesses to lighten thoughts and the enjoyment of subtleties of light, day, night, transition, form, structure, and balance.
