| The inspiration for the Glass Putter…“My father and I both have a passion for playing golf and often practice on his farm on his 3-hole practice course.One night my dad again asked when I could come down to play some golf.I had to tell him that I had too much glasswork to do…Then he said, ‘Too bad you couldn’t make golf clubs out of glass!’I got off the phone and thought, ‘Why not?’So I designed and then made a glass putter for him.My father, Ray Mathews Sr., is a Clemson University graduate who then went on to play Pro football for the Pittsburgh Steelers (#25) back in the 1950’s.Since then, he plays in a lot of celebrity golf tournaments and uses his Glass Putter.The Glass Putter conforms to the USGA Rules which makes it a functional work of art that brings a unique addition to the game of golf.The Putters come in a variety of brilliant colors with custom logos available.Each Putter weighs approximately 340 grams and is face balanced with a 5-degree loft. |
